Speakers' Pool

Are you....
  • Looking for a knowledgeable person to speak to your community group on a topic related to Lincoln for the Bicentennial?
  • A school looking to find in-class presenters or teacher training workshop presenters?
  • A member of the media looking to find expert interviewees on Lincoln and his times?
  • A library or bookstore looking to find scholars available for Lincoln-related book-signings?

If so, then the Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Commission Speakers' Pool is a resource for you.

The Abraham Lincoln Bicentennial Commission (ALBC) Speakers' Pool can provide knowledgeable speakers who can address your conference, lecture, or school event and tell you about the life and legacy of Abraham Lincoln.

The pool is made up of Commissioners as well as members of the ALBC Advisory Committee and includes Lincoln scholars, teachers and collectors who are united in their interest in the 16th president. Some speakers are also willing to write about Lincoln for publication.

Each speaker has their own listing which provides contact information, along with information on whether the speaker charges fees and whether they will travel. Each listing also provides speaker’s topics, as well as what types of programs they present.

Please note:

All negotiations of travel, lodging and speaking fees are the responsibility of both the speaker and the requesting organization. The ALBC does not arrange for speakers or pay for them to speak to a requesting organization.

The ALBC Speakers’ Pool is provided as a service of the ALBC to help local communities connect with Lincoln experts for the Bicentennial. The listing does not constitute an endorsement of the speaker or their presentation on the part of the ALBC. The views expressed by the speaker do not necessarily reflect those of the ALBC.
